Update: Summer 2014 Goals

Y’all. I am stupid excited that it’s a bit chillier here in PA. I mean, the weather is a bit bipolar, as I was sweating my tush off yesterday, and now I’m shivering with my window open today, but that is neither here nor there.

I know the official first day of Fall isn’t for another few weeks, but with temperatures like this, how could I not reflect on my summer goals?

Updated Goals for Summer 2014

1) Budget, budget, budget. Becky has some kind of vortex that makes me tell her everything ;) and I realized when I was talking to her the other day how much I really and truly need to budget. If I put this on enough lists here on LWI perhaps I’ll actually do it? Grade: B+ – I could have done better, but I could have done worse. Haha!  Also, I just got a part time job so I can save a little extra too. :)

2) Go for a run. I have all the excuses in the book about why I’m not out trying to run (my newest this week is that I don’t want to buy another pair of running shoes right now and mine are miled out) but mostly, I’m scared. Grade: A++ I did it! I’ll update y’all about it next week.

3) Have a kick boo-tay Grad school term, despite the beautiful weather/temperatures and vacations. I was lucky enough that I never had to take summer classes while in college, and this is the first time I’ll ever be in school during a vacation. I’m determined to still kick booty, and not let summer influence my grades and focus. Grade: A++ I’m still rocking out on Dean’s list, and trying my best to graduate with as close to a 4.0 as possible. I feel like Rory with my obsession about my GPA, right AllieCat? (Sorry you get the brunt of my Rory-craziness. Love you. Mean it.)

4) Journal daily in July. I’ve already started this (or I would totally be doing badly on this goal!) and I’m already happy I’m doing it. Though I write 4-5 times a week usually on this blog, I love the idea of journaling with a pen and paper, even if it’s just so much as a thought of gratitude for the day. Grade: A++! Remember when I posted about this? Perhaps I should have reflected on all of them. F for you, Glen Coco Lindsay.

5) Work on Lindsay Weighs In. There’s a lot of ideas I have cooking up about what I’d like to do with this blog, where I’d like to go with it, and what I’d like to change (pages, etc.) For the most part, nothing will change around here – just some behind the scenes things that need done. I’d also like to survey you all to see what you’d like to see less/more of. Grade: I’d give myself a B+ on this one. I changed up some of the pages that I wanted to, but there’s still a lot of behind the scenes work I’d like to do that I didn’t get to this Summer. Someday?

6) Make some serious weight loss progress. Summer, the time of vacations, is when I would let myself slip back into old, unhealthy habits, no matter how good I was doing on my weight loss journey at the time. I’m really excited NOT to do that this time, and 100% follow my plan throughout the summer. I’m hoping to have an awesome number to share of pounds lost on the first day of Fall! Grade: A+ But I’m not going to talk about it for awhile. We’ll let this photo speak for itself:

Life is good friends, life is good.

What about you? Did you make any summer goals? How did you do? What are you doing this weekend? Am I asking too many questions? (Yes.)

Happy Friday!
