Before I start this post, it is my obligation to let you all know that you have to wish Danielle of (Healthy) Vittles and Bits a Happy, Happy Birthday today! One of my oldest and best friends, so it’s my duty to embarrass her!

Happy Birthday Dani

Moving onnnn..

Future Fitness Goals, say that 5 times fast! Bahaha. 😉

Nothing to see here, just me laughing at my own jokes. Totes normal and happens all the time.

As a self-proclaimed Type A person, I like to have a plan. I like lists. I like goals. The only thing I’m not so great at is arriving on time for anything, which is like the only good reason to be Type A. Sorry loved ones. Anywaaaays.

Future Fitness Goals

I have a constant list of short and long term goals I’d like to accomplish, and a lot of them are fitness related. There’s a lot that will be WAAY long term, so don’t judge me for this list! I’m going to share the fitness related ones, but if you’re interested I’d love to make this a series and share lots of goals with you!

Future Fitness Related Goals:

  1. Run a 5K under 30 minutes (my current PR is 45 minutes.) This is a goal I’d like to accomplish in 2014!
  2. Attend (and rock out!) a SoulCycle class and a Flywheel class. Neither of these studios are near me, so it would have to be on top of a vacation. Twist my arm, why don’t ya? 😉
  3. Run a half marathon in under 4 hours. (My current PR is 3:52, I think.) This will likely be a goal for 2015.
  4. Run a 10K. I’ve never run one before! I was supposed to run the Hershey 10K this year, but a bout of flu/I was super injured prevented me from running OR spectating the race. This is a goal for 2015.
  5. Run a marathon. I’m itching for the Marine Corps Marathon to be my first, date TBD. (Many, many years.)
  6. Do a triathlon. I’m not sure if I ever even talked about this on LWI, but I sold my tri entry this year, as I was just not up to it. Someday! Date TBD.
  7. Qualify for Boston. Probably in my 60s. I don’t care.
  8. Become a trained fitness instructor. I tried this once, though didn’t complete it. Someday I will!
  9. Try a Crossfit class. This has been on my bucket list for awhile, but straight up I am TERRIFIED to try. Once I gather my balls to do it, I will certainly give it a try.
  10. Become a Certified Personal Trainer. Not sure exactly how I’d use this, which is why I haven’t been able to justify the money in pursuing it, but I’d love to do this!

Thinking-Out-Loud

Are any of your goals on the list? If not, what are they?! Let me know in the comments and then head on over to Spoons to see what others in the blogosphere are Thinking Out Loud About!
